Biography of Xystus  Biography |  Founded in 1999 by Ivo van Dijk and Bas Dolmans, this Dutch band always sought to experiment: it results from them 3 demos like their first album «Receiving Tomorrow» published in 2004.
After many concerts and festivals (in support in particular of Kamelot, Autumn, ...), Xystus had the occasion, in 2005, to turn in Germany, Italy, Belgium and Switzerland in first act for Epica.
The new album, «Surreal» ((50 minutes of excellent progressive and symphonic metal in 14 pieces), more mature, combines trash elements with a touch of progressive and symphonic.
It is produced by Ivo Severijns and mixed by Oscar Oscar Holleman (Within Temptation, After Forever, Krezip, ...). |
