Biography of Quantum Fantay Biography | Quantum Fantay is a Belgian band which has the characteristic to make « space rock ».
The main influences of the band are Marillion, Pink Floyd, The Flower Kings, Dream Theater and Ayreon but most significant is without discussion the band which gave them their nickname of Belgian Ozric Tentacles.
In 2005, their first album is released: «Agapanthusterra» whose title comes from agapanthus, a variety of flower and of will terra, the compost in which it is planted. On this topic, Pete Mush (the clavierist of the group) wrote a novel about what you become after death when you are buried with dimensions of this kind of flower. It describes that like a reincarnation in a new universe …
A new album, «Ugisiunsi» is released in 2007.
For the little story the name of Quantum Fantay comes from a typing error since the group was to be called Quantum Fantasy! ! |
