Biography of Mindgames  Biography |  Mindgames is founded at the end of 1997.
Bart Schram (song and acoustic guitar) and Eric Vandormael (bass) already met while playing in other groups, they decide to create a band to progressive and symphonic tendency.
In 1998, Benny Petak (drums) joined the band, it already played in many metal bands and the concept of the nabd enjoys him.
It is with the turn of Tom Truyers (keyboards & piano) to complete the line-up: the symphonic side of its play much will be used for the band.
In 1999, they record a demo.
We are in 2000 and the arrival of the excellent guitarist Rudy Vander Veken: its ideas are the key which missed to Mindgames to carry out their vision of the band.
Throughout the year 2001, Mindgames works with the development of a future album. This one was born in 2002 «International daylight» : 7 songs, so there's 66 min of pure Belgian progressive rock…
2004 is the great year for the concerts to Mindgames: they are at the headliner of « Prog Nose Fest » in company of 7th circle and Karma depth, they open « The Convention Prog Résiste » as well as the « Prog farm ».
The year 2005 is devoted to the creation of the following of their adventures and at the beginning of the year 2006 leaves «Action in a play», a pure masterpiece. |
