Biography of Madelgaire  Biography | Madelgaire is a progressive rock band of the area of Soignies (Hainaut, Belgium).
The band was created at the end of the year 2000 on ashes of a preceding band named S£AW in which already Christian Vanderwhale (bass) and Stephan Letertre (guitar) officiated. They are joined by Pascal Rocteur (drums and song) and Patrice Chalon (keyboards) to form Madelgaire.
During 2001, Dominique Lossignol (guitar, song) joined the band which takes really its take-off and releases in 2002 its first demo: «...Goes To The Collégiale».
This demo is a declaration of intent. Since Madelgaire continues its work with several English and French pieces sung centered at the beginning on the historical character whose band draws its name. This Cd demo drew the attention of the specialists and received several favourable criticisms, in particular fanzines and specialized sites (Prog-Résiste, Prog-Nose, Progressive World...).
In 2005, Patrice Chalon yields his place behind the keyboards to Bertrand Vanvarembergh.
The band is now in studio to record its first album… |
