Biography of Lac Placide  Biography | Formed in 1997 by 6 musicians, the music of Lac Placide is characterized by the meeting of metal, pop, the accents groovy and progressive rock. In 2000, Lac Placide releases its first 3 titles demo «Welcome… You're Not». Thereafter, the band continues to compose and to play on stage, it carries out and interprets even piece a 30 minute for a sound and light (ordered by the Town hall of Viry-Châtillon in Paris region), then it records its first album. In 2003 «Away» is released which gathers 7 pieces expressing the taste of the imaginary, unforeseen and the strange. This own-produced album receives a positive reception on behalf of the specialists. In 2004, the band prepares their second album while ensuring the promotion of the first. In 2005, the band releases a second 3 titles demo «Freedom From Their Hands». The band played on April 9, 2005 at the French Prog Festival organized at Triton (Les Lilas) in company of Nemo and Sensitive To Light (ex-Saens). This festival was crowned success since it was sold-out! In 2006, Lac Placide releases its second album «Closer». Sa Majesté Roy and the band not being more over the same wavelength, decided to put an end to their collaboration at the end of May 2007… The new singer, L'Apicultrice, has just joined the band and is on the point of defending the titles on scene. |
