Biography of Kells  Biography |  At the beginning trinity compound of Patrick at the guitar, Fabrice at the keyboard and Virginia as the voice, the genesis of Kells goes back to 2001.
Their various influences and musical experiments form a particular sound combining, metal, electro, and classical music, and in spring 2004, Kells flashes in the eye of an independent producer (AVFP Production) who decides to produce their first album “Gaia” (released in winter 2006).
Stéphane Piot, nominated at the victories of the music for BLANKASS and DARAN & LES CHAISES in particular, cracks on the project and decides to ensure the realization of it.
In 2004, the Trium Vira accomodates Jérémie at the bass/flute
and Guillaume at the drums, and then takes truly all his sense on stage.
In 2 years of existence in the form of hydra with 5 heads, Kells foams initially the café concert in the Rhone-Alpes area then starts to turn in France, Belgium and Luxembourg with its first opus.
Nearly 60 dates in one year, Kells shares prestigious scenes with artists of national and international fame: Epica, Apocalyptica, Paradise Lost, Aqme, Eths, Watcha, Tripod, L'esprit du clan, Dub Incorporation, Kaophonic Tribu, etc...
Considering their sales, their last concerts, the atmosphere which emerges from, and the national journalistic criticisms, Kells seems to be little by little essential like one of the headlight bands of French melodic metal….
In 2007, Guillaume and Fabrice leave the band. Then Kells accomodates Jean at the drums. And Laurent, until now backup of Jérémie, becomes principal bass player of the band. Strong of this new line-up the band begins its tour 2007. The new album from which you heard some extracts on the recent gigs is planned for the end of 2008. |
