Biography of Ex-Vagus Biography | Founded in 1996, the French band Ex-Vagus plays a melodic prog rock, lyric and powerful (sung in French because the compositions prove to be stories musically put in scene) thanks to a permanent search for atmospheres and sound decorations. Among their influences, they quote Ange, Galaad, Atoll, King Crimson, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Dream Theater ...
After the live CD «Par Delà les Légendes» in 2000 (first rock opera of the combo) and the 3 titles studio «Cité Globale» in 2002, the band is quickly known beyond even of France, thus reinforcing their growing notoriety.
Wishing to explore all the artistic ways of the progressive rock'n'roll, Ex-Vagus creates in 18 months a concept album «Seconde Lumière», released in 2004.
In 2006 the album «Ames Vagabondes» is released in which takes part Christian Décamps (leader and founder of the band Ange).
On stage the band favours the emotion and energy, and proposes an original style which dissociates from the other style of the moment: they had the opportunity to ensure some prestigious first parts such as those of Barclay James Harvest, Focus, Ars Nova, Riverside and several times those of Ange. |
