Biography of Amartia  Biography |  The adventure of Amartia begins in 1999.
About 2000-2001, during the composition of their first album: «Maïeutics», a complicity settles between the members of the band which brings good exchanges so much to the musical point of view than with the writing of the texts approaching of the topics like the human condition and ecology.
The recording of «Maïeutics» finishes in 2002 and the production is entrusted to the label Thundering Records. The album is favorably accomodated as well by the public as by the specialized press.
This one enables them to play in first part of Freak Kitchen and The gathering.
In 2003, after some scenic appearances, two members, whose female singer, leave the band.
In 2004, the group auditions several female singers but without success until the arrival of Britta: from Hambourg. Britta can at the same time sing in several languages and its voice corresponds perfectly with the music of the band.
In 2005, the recording of the second album: «Marionette» finishes and is released in 2006 on the same label. The texts written in English, French and German want to be more personal and positive. The same year, the clavierist is replaced by Anthony Broggia from Anachronia.
At the beginning of 2006, the band makes discover its new album with the public and the press… |
